This blog will include my ramblings about my new life in Oregon. I moved to Beaverton in July 2008 on a new adventure. Most people choose to make moves like this to be closer to family, for a new career, or because of a need for change (such as a health reason). I made this move because I asked the hard question, “Am I wasting my life?”. While I don’t feel it was a waste, I wasn’t thriving and my had become very centered about me.
After a lot of searching about what to change, and what might be the best thing for me I have found a great church to be a part of. They are just getting planted, but their goals, vision, and heart match mine in many ways. They desire to be very outward focused and be actively involved in the community, and they have a passion for students and discipleship.
So, I packed my bags and here I am in Oregon! I don’t know what this new life will entail, but I am here to give this a try, and to do something different. Life is too short to waste it, and I want to use the gifts and skills I have to make this life a easier and a little more beautiful for those I share it with.
